PLL Pro Training & Education Session: Train like the pros while also learning about the history of the game of lacrosse from our Indigenous athletes and members of the Iroquois Nationals Development Group (INDG). We are excited to partner with INDG to offer this unique opportunity for young athletes. The first hour will feature fundamental lacrosse instruction in a fun, moderately-paced environment. Athletes will have the ability to connect with PLL players while learning the fundamentals of stick work, shooting, defense, and footwork. Following the hour of instruction, athletes will learn about the history of our sport to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the Indigenous peoples who gave us the game. There will be an open Q&A, giveaways, and educational materials for players to take home. 

Iroquois Nationals Development Group - INDG is a non-profit organization supporting the Iroquois Nationals lacrosse program through fundraising and player development. Their mission is to prepare Haudenosaunee and Native youth for International competition, raise awareness of the traditional and cultural aspects of the game, and expose players to educational opportunities. 

Tickets: All participants in the PLL Youth Pro Training Session will have the option to purchase discounted tickets to the PLL games on Sunday August 1st, taking place at Weidner Field. More details on those games can be found here. Please register for the event which corresponds with the amount of tickets you would like to purchase for Sunday's games (tickets provide entry to BOTH Sunday games). **Ticket offer is subject to availability. The deadline to register with the discounted ticket option is July 21, 2021**. Tickets will be sent via email by July 30th.

Zed Williams - Named the 2020 Championship Series MVP,  and a key attackman for the champion Whipsnakes, Williams finished the tournament as the leader in both goals (20) and shots (59). His dominant performance in the Championship Game also saw him named to the All-Tournament Team and earn the McEneaney Attackman of the Championship Series award. Prior to his time in the PLL, Williams spent 3 years with the Boston Cannons of the MLL. He played DI lacrosse at the University of Virginia, where he received USILA All-American and Inside Lacrosse All-American honorable mentions. Additionally, he was an All-ACC and on the Tewaaraton Trophy watch list. 

Colin Squires - USILA Third Team All-American, Inside Lacrosse HM All-American , Big East Defensive Player of the Year (2021), Big East First Team, Big East Second Team at University of Denver; Taken 23r overall by the Whipsnakes in the 2021 PLL Draft - now a key member of the Whipsnakes defense

Colyn Lyons (INDG) - Lyons played lacrosse at IMG Academy prior to attending and playing at both the University of Albany and Wilmington University. Currently, he works for INDG as an Operations Manager. In this role, Lyons manages events, assists in the student mentor program, and oversees the planning of INDG youth camps. Lyons will lead the educational portion of the event.

Who: This event is designed for youth, middle school, and high school players, of all experience levels.
