PLL Pro Day x USA Select Tryout: As part of their newly formed National Team Development Program ("NTDP"), US Lacrosse and the Premier Lacrosse League have teamed up to run regional tryouts with the goal of coalescing the best talent in the United States at the U15 and U17 level for international competition. This event will serve as the first step of three required to earn a spot on the USA Select U15 and U17 teams (22 players per team nationally). Players will be trained and evaluated during this session by crossover PLL & U.S. Men's National Team athletes & coaches - who will work with USL to furnish invitations to the final tryout hosted in Maryland. This will ultimately culminate in international competition in the Fall of 2019.

Coaches for this event will be named soon, but all will have been involved with US Lacrosse on a competitive level.

Program Director: 2 time U.S. Men's National Team member and world champion Kyle Hartzell will be overseeing the USA Select Regional Tryout process. Kyle's long-term U.S. Men's National Team affiliation will provide a strong backdrop for his preparations with curriculum, fellow coaches, developing scorecard and evaluation metrics, and building the program in the likeness of his experience with the U.S. Men's National Team.

Curriculum: The drills and competitions featured in the PLL Pro Day x USL Select Tryouts have been developed by PLL athletes in conjunction with US Lacrosse coaches & personnel. The goal is to mirror and provide the same level of elite training and evaluation used by the U.S. Men's National Team  Each aspect of this event will not only provide participants with the opportunity to show their skill, but also give them a blueprint on how to practice on their own to become a top-tier player. Drills will vary by position, but will feature stick work, shooting, athleticism, agility, footwork, dodging, clears, and more. Competitions will be 3 v 3, man up/man down, and full 6 v 6.

When: Tuesday, June 25th - 1:30PM - 4:00PM 

Who: There will be tryouts for the U17 team, and U15 teams taking place simultaneously. Groups will be divided up according to FIL rules, which are listed below. 

U17: The player must be born on or between August 31, 2001 and August 31, 2003.

U15: The player must be born on or between August 31, 2003 and August 31, 2005.
